Yellowcard
Biography
Yellowcard's story is quite banal: a high school meeting in Jacksonville, Florida, a demo ( Midget Tossing ) and an album ( Where We Stand ) both produced by Shawn Dewey (ex-Lagwagon ) in 2 years. Then came the summer of 1999, when members decided to buy a van and tour California. Upon their return and after a small demo EP ( Still Standing), the band was noticed by Lobster Records, which released its One for the kids in April 2001. The band signed in 2002 on Major Capitol Records and on July 2, it released The Underdog EP (in cooperation with Fueled By Ramen) and announced the same day that Warren Cooke, bassist, left the band.
2003, Ocean Avenue definitely marks the pop punk turn of the combo in the USA. Five members make up the band: a guitarist, a second guitarist, a bassist, a drummer and a violinist.
