Year Of No Light

Since 2001, the Bordeaux formation Y ear Of No Light offers an alloy of sludge and post-hardcore weighing morning post-rock effects that evokes among others Neurosis, Isis or Cult Of Luna. Following a promising demo, Pierre Anouilh (Guitare), Jérôme Alban (Guitare), Julien Perez (Chant, Keyvier), Johan Sebenne (Basse) and Bertrand Sebenne (Battery) shot in the South of France, plus some dates in Spain. With a scenic experience and three former members of Metronome Charisma , the band released its album Nord in 2006 which soon became a must of the genre. After separating from his singer in 2008, Year Of No Light became fully instrumental and further increased his music with the help of guitarist Shiran de Monarch and drummer Mathieu. Several splits with Karysun , Fear Falls Burning , Nadja , Machu Picchu Mother Future , Rosetta and East Of The Wall follow during 2009 until their second album: Aussewelt in 2010.
