White Hills
Biography
As misty as his music, White Hills was born in Chicago somewhere in the early 2000s. The trio, led by guitarist/singer Dave W., aims to reborn the Space Rock (Hawwind and his sbires in the lead). The band became known with a first release in 2005, They've Got Blood Like We've Got Blood, under the chaperone of Julian Cope, expert in Krautrock. This record marks the beginning of a more than prolific period for White Hills, which alternates frantically LP, EP, live, compilations.... Composing its songs to the rhythm of swallowed mushrooms, the group places its suitcases in 2009 at Thrill Jockey (which hosts(ait), among others, Black Pus, Barn Owl, KTL, Liturgy, Tortoise ....) for the release of Dead and Head on Fire. You will also not be surprised to learn that White Hills has plotted many times with Oneida and Gnod, as these bands share the same taste for deceit. After making the first part of Disappears , in 2012, White Hills returned the following year with a new record, So You Are... So You'll Be , still at Thrill Jockey.
