Watain

Formed in 1998 and native to Sweden, Watain is part of the lead of the Black Metal underground. Their black metal has a rather classical discourse because it deals with death, darkness and satanism. Since their first demo entitled Go Fuck Your Jewish God released in 1998, Watain has released every year either a demo, an ep, a live or a studio album. In 2000, Watain released his first album, Rabid Death Casus Luciferi , the album of maturity, cold and unhealthy, comes out in 2003 and arouses a strong enthusiasm in the Black Metal underground sphere, making Watain one of the major assets of this scene. After a four-year silence, Sworn To The Dark was born at Season Of Mist (the Mayhem label, Carpathian Forest, Tsjuder ...) and stood out from earlier productions with a more worked sound and clearer production. In 2007, to promote Sworn To The Dark, Watain made the first part of Celtic Frost's tour. During the end of that same year, the Fuck The World tour with Impiety brought together the crowds. One can notice the presence during the concerts of the former guitarist of Dissection and d-Aborym, Set Teitan. Their new abum, Lawless Darkness , comes out in 2010 and makes even more talk Swedish. In 2013, The Wild Hunt, Sweden's latest album to date, appeared.
