Vreid

At the death of Windir's leader, Valfar, in February 2004, the group did not have any choice but to cease its activity as this was the undisputed mentor. However, the members did not lose the desire to continue in the way of black metal. It is therefore rather quickly, after paying tribute to their friend as it should be, that appears the name of Vreid , composed therefore of Hváll(bass), Steingrim (battery), Sture (guitar, voice) by Windir and a new guitarist named Ese, not so far from their galaxy since he had participated in Likferd, the band's last album. It is therefore late 2004, after barely a year of transition, that Kraft, the first Norwegian record attempt to prove that there is a life after Windir. And it is a year and a half later that his successor, Pitch Black Brigade, continues on the same track.
