Visions Of Atlantis

Formed in 2000 around a common fascination for the myth of Atlantis, the group made its weapons from its formation during the first parts of Edenbridge. It was only two years later that Visions Of Atlantis' first album was released. The Austrians defend this record on the roads throughout Europe, opening for Katatonia, Nightwish or Finntroll. In 2003 the first line-up stalls took place. Indeed, the team will vary greatly over the years, so that each album never has the same line-up. Cast Away was released at the end of 2004. It will be the last album in which Nicole Bogner, singer of the beginnings, will participate. With all due regard for the duality of male and female songs, Visions Of Atlantis recruits Melissa Ferlaak. Trinity , their well-named third album, released in 2007, before singer and guitarist gave up the adventure. The musician was replaced by his own predecessor who returned to the band, and Joanna Nieniewska took the place of vocalist. She will stay six months in VoA, without participating in any album or concert. The Greek Maxi Nile gets the microphone. Ethera is published in 2013 and is dedicated to the memory of Nicole Bogner, the first group singer, who died at 27 the previous year, after having long fought a serious illness. The biggest line-up change took place in 2013, when five out of six members chose to put the key under the door, leaving drummer Thomas Caser alone on board. The latter recruits three former members: Chris Kamper, keyboardist between 2000 and 2003; Michael Koren, bassist from 2000 to 2009; and guitarist Werner Fiedler, who had played in VoA from the beginning until 2005, and again from 2007 to 2011. The men's song returns to Siegfried Samer, and the women's voices are now assured by the French Clementine Delauney (ex- Whyzdom, ex- Serenity). In 2016 the group released an EP featuring 5 old songs, re-recorded by the new line-up.
