Venomous Concept
Biography
Venomous Concept is a supergroup of Crust / Grind founded in the United States in 2003 by Kevin Sharp ( Brutal Truth ) and Shane Embury ( Napalm Death ). The idea of starting is to make a music close to Punk by incorporating Death / Grind influences, the two companions are soon joined by drummer Danny Herrera of Napalm Death, and bassist Buzz Osbourne ( The Melvins, Fantomas). In 2004 released the first album of the band: Retroactive Abortion , a second album will be released in 2008, Poisoned Apple , where Osbourne gave its place to Dan Liliker (S.O.D , Brutal Truth ). In the meantime, two splits will be released in 2006 and 2008. After a long break the gaillards resumed service by announcing at the end of 2015 the release of an album for early 2016, Kick Me Silly - VC III, via Season of Mist, to note the arrival of a new member in the person of John Cooke as second guitarist, he notably helped on stage for Napalm Death and Anaal Nathrakh. The name Venomous Concept is more or less inspired by a word game from the American Punk Rock band Poison Idea.
