U D O
Biography
In the second half of the 1980s, the German Heavy Metal group Accept moved towards more melodic music, closer to Hard FM. In 1987, singer Udo Dirkschneider decided to leave the formation, considering this evolution incompatible with his voice stamp. He then founded his own band, U.D.O., of which he was the only permanent member, and released in the animal house, an album entirely written by Accept as a starting gift. Three papers followed from 1989 to 1991, before Dirkschneider ended U.D.O. in 1992, in favour of the reformation of his previous group. 1996 marks a new separation of Accept and the return of U.D.O., which has since continued tirelessly to shoot and release albums at regular intervals. The sixteenth opus, entitled Steelfactory , was released in late August 2018. It should also be noted that in 2005 the singer attended an Accept meeting for a few concerts, but refused to become more involved. Still concerning his first band, while he used to include several tracks in his setlists, he decided to turn this page permanently in order to devote his concerts exclusively to U.D.O. In question, its fatigue of comparisons between its benefits and those of the current version of Accept . However, he organizes a farewell tour to the songs of his former band under the name Dirkschneider, which runs from 2016 to 2017 and gives rise to the album Live - Back To The Roots.
