The Ruins Of Beverast
Biography
Alexander Von Meilenwald is The Ruins of Beverast . The Ruins of Beverast is Alexander Von Meilenwald. Firefighter- Nagelfar , the man launched in 2003 in a solo exploration of Black Metal with a pronounced taste for experimentation. A few interviews here and there, no website, no myspace, The Ruins of Beverast is a discreet project. However, in 2010, the project already gave birth to several collaborations and three remarkable studio albums, the latest of which was Foulest Semen Of A Sheltered Elite, which came into being at the end of August 2009. Still as discreet, however, the man seems to gradually emerge from his shell to the point of encircling and performing on stage in 2013. A year that sees it, in addition to a remarkable passage at the Roadburn Festival, also complete a fourth studio album released by Van Records: Blood Vaults - The Blazing Gospel Of Heinrich Kramer. In 2016, Meilenwald released an EP entitled Tacitum Tootem! , which contains a surprising cover of Pink Floyd's "Set the Controls for The Heart of the Sun", as well as an original song that gives his name to the EP, which will be found in a different form on the album that will follow. Titled Exuvia , the record moves a little further away from the Black to the Doom and to the tribal and hypnotic sounds that can be heard on the title song, which takes about fifteen minutes. Several tours will follow, marked by a new roadburn to interpret Exuvia in full in 2018. After two splits in 2020, released with Mourning Beloveth and Almyrkvi respectively, The Ruins of Beverast will release its sixth album on February 5, 2021, still by Ván Records, under the title: The Thule Grimoires.
