The Men
Biography
It's with a sizzling demo and a little anecdotal that The Men is poking over the Noise Punk landscape from next to Brooklyn in 2008. Productive, the band quickly followed the release of a first EP soberly titled We Are The Men the following year, which opened a few doors and allowed him to serve his abrasive guitars to a slightly wider audience. We find the quartet in 2010 on a cassette split with Nomos , other vintage and furious premises but especially on a first self-produced LP that lets appear the band's overt retro accents. The Shoegaze fights at Punk Rock, Garage and Hardcore to reveal a singular band. With new compositions and a growing reputation, The Men put his suitcases at Sacred Bones Records, which released its second Leave Home album in May 2011. Never satisfied despite important lineup movements (from the bassist), the quartet returns just a year later armed with a third album: Open Your Heart .
