The Dwarves

The Dwarves trained in 1983 in Chicago, USA, and succeeded a first formation named Suburban Nightmare. At the time, the band played a garage/psychedelic rock and wonderfully conveyed the values "sex drugs&rock n的roll" (with the violence!). In 1986, he finally released his first album Horror Stories before starting to tour the United States. He released Toolin' For a Warm Teabag (1988), Blood, Guts & Pussy (1990) and Thank Heaven For Little Girls (1991). The band will split up shortly after the release of the album Sugarfix (1993) because of a rather dubious joke: he simply announces in the press that his guitarist died and pays tribute to him on Sugarfix, while in fact this one is still alive. The Dwarves reformed in 1997 and recorded the album Young And Good Looking, which marked a turning point in his career, with short, furious but terribly effective tracks. Maybe the arrival of the new guitarist Mike Fox (in place of Konik) is there for something. In the year 2000, Come Clean was released, which remains in the perfect line of the previous album. Even shorter (only 21 min!), however, it has the merit of bringing a wind of freshness to the Dwarves planet due to richer compositions (pop-punk, punk n-roll, street punk and even the appearance of first hip hop sounds). Finally, after a cd including better quality re-recordings of titles (How To Win Friends And Influence People), the band released in September 2004 must Die which appears as a real outcome to which the formation had been tending for some time. A veritable potpourri of multiple influences, which nevertheless does not lose the provocative, trash and staggered aspect to which the group has always accustomed us. We should finally see them on the old continent in March 2005. Parents, hide your children, The Dwarves are back!
