The Caretaker

The Caretaker, an experimental dark atmosphere project, was created in 1999 by Englishman Leyland Kirby. Initially eager to pay tribute to Kubrick's famous Shining ball scene, The Caretaker proposes, in about ten productions, to use old, outdated recordings and to triture them, to deconstruct them in order to extract a sound substance that can account for a long reflection on early dementia and how the human brain generates new musical memories when it is too late. Everywhere at the end of time, an ambitious project released between 2016 and 2019, marks the end of the Caretaker adventure. It's over.
