The Black Dahlia Murder

It was in 2001 that Trevor Strnad (song), Brian Eschbach, John Kempainen (guitars), David Lok (bass) and Cory Grady (battery), five young presentable strongmen, decided to form The Black Dahlia Murder. Taking its name from the murder of an American actress in the 1950s, the combo from Detroit released the following year a first demo entitled A Cold blooded Epitaph.Very soon noticed despite the average production quality of their first effort, the Black Dahlia Murder signed at Metal Blades Records and released in June 2003 their first album: Unhallowed , mixed many influences, all extremes, the band hardcore mix, death, black, metal for an explosive result. This is followed immediately and for almost two years an international tour in the company of among others Arch Enemy, Napalm Death, The Red Chord or Terror. In 2005 the band returned with Miasma and it was Nocturnal's turn to see the light of day in 2007. The Americans are moving towards a darker sound, while keeping a good right hook. Current 2007, drummer Shannon Lucas ( All That Remains ) takes the place left vacant by the multiple line-up changes to this position. Then, the following year, the band's original guitarist, John K, left the band, leaving the field open to Ryan Knight (Arsis ). In early May 2009, Majesty, live DVD, arrived in the bins. Weared in the nudes for the quality of the sound and image, it is also described for its random editing, combining the elements of 2 separate shows within all the compositions presented. In September of the same year, after a wait filled with interviews and sound excerpts, Deflorate and his artwork came out to remind of Death's Spiritual Healing cult. Proud of his 4 albums, The Black Dahlia Murder has won on the current deathcore scene. In 2011, The Black Dahlia Murder returned with Ritual , an album that tried some small experiments, quickly followed by two new line-up changes (bass and drums) and a new batch of albums: Everblack (2013) and Abysmal (2015). Among other things, they spent years with The Black Dahlia Murder Kevin Talley (DÂTH), Zach Gibson (ex-Abigail Williams), Cory Grady (Premonitions Of War), Joe Buccuto (Set Ablaze) or Anthony Ezzi (Arson).
