The Accused
Biography
Brad Mowen - singing Dorando Hodous - bass Mike Peterson - drums Tommy Niemeyer - guitar
The Accüsed formed in 1981 on the side of Oak Harbor, Washington State, around Chibon Batterman, Dana Collins and Tom Niemeyer. John Dahlin joined the band for the period 1982-1984. The arrival of Blaine Cook (ex-The Fartz) redirects The Accüsed to a more heavy metal sound. Until 1990 there were five albums and three ep. After the split, Niemeyer joined Gruntruck for 7 years. Josh Sinder will be drummer for Tad. The Accüsed was reformed in 2003, squishing all the scenes around the Seattle area. A new album, Oh, Martha!, is born and gets a big hit in the specialized press. Two years later, Niemeyer was forced to recruit three new members, Cook, Alex Sibbald and Steve Nelson. Under this line up, The Accüsed will record only two new titles. The cards were redistributed in 2009 when Oak Harbor's band got a deal with Southern Records for the release of its new album, The Curse of Martha Splatterhead.
