Subway To Sally

Subway To Sally founded in 1990 in Potsdam, Germany, on the ashes of Zweieck , the former band of guitarists / singers Simon and Bodenski during their schooling. They were soon joined by guitarist Ingo Hampf and bassist Silvio "Sugar Ray" Runge and then, wishing to move towards folk and medieval sounds, they recruited violinist Frau Schmitt and bagpipe player (among others) Eric Fish, who soon became the main singer. As early as 1991, this part of the line-up remained stable (each playing several instruments) until 2016. Only the battery (and percussion) will undergo some changes; the position is held until 1997 by T.W. In 1994 released the first album, soberly entitled Album 1994 . Starting with MCMXCV (1995, as its name suggests), Subway To Sally's style gradually evolves towards Metal while keeping its Folk roots, in addition to opting for German lyrics. Following Foppt Den Dämon in 1996 and Bannkreis in 1997, T.W. left the adventure, replaced by David Pätsch. Three albums and one live appeared under this configuration before the latest drummer, Simon Michael, arrived in 2005. Another new development in 2005, as the band joined the German label Nuclear Blast Records for the Nord Nord Ost release. The contract will continue on Nackt in 2006 (second public recording), then Bastard in 2007 and Kreuzfeuer in 2009, after which Subway To Sally will choose in 2010 to found his own label, STS Entertainment (under Universal Music). The first release for STS is the acoustic live Nackt II , followed in 2011 by Schwarz In Schwarz . Later, trips were less frequent. Mitgift was born in 2014. Two years later a line-up change occurred with the departure of violinist Frau Schmitt and his replacement by Ally Storch. 2017 sees the arrival of Neon , a new live, and then you have to wait until March 2019 for the thirteenth opus : Hey!
