Sombres Forets

Dark Forest was created in 2005 by its only member, Annatar, multi-instrumentalist. In the following year, Sombres Forêts produced its first eponymous demo that attracted the attention of a local label, Sepulchral Productions (or was signed by its Canadian counterpart, Grey). A few months later, released the first studio album, Quintessence. Dark Forest reveals a slow and repetitive Atmospheric Black Metal giving cold and depressive atmospheres to the pieces. In 2008, the band released its second studio album, Kingdom De Glace, which is musically similar to its predecessor. Sombres Forêts collaborates with Gris to found Miserrere Luminis and then released an album under Sepulchral Productions in November 2009.
