Skeletonwitch
Biography
Skeletonwitch formed in 2003 in Athens, Ohio, around Nate Garnett and Scott Hendrix on guitars, joined by Chance Garnett, Nate's older brother, in singing. A first album, At One With The Shadows , soon appeared in 2004 and laid the foundation for their influences from Thrash to Black Metal. Signed at Prosthetic Records, it is with their next album, Beyond The Permafrost in 2007 that serious things begin: the band gets spotted and will tour with Danzig , Dimmu Borgir and Moonspell in late 2008. One of their titles, Soul Thrashing Black Sortery, will be chosen to appear in the soundtrack of BrĂ¼tal Legend video game. The band then continued the albums with a good regularity (Breathing The Fire in 2009 and Forever Abomination in 2011), and after some changes of line-up to rhythm (arrival of Evan Linger to bass in 2008 and Dustin Boltjes to drums in 2011), Skeletonwitch released his fifth album Serpents Unleashed in 2013.
