Sick Of It All
Biography
Lou Koller - singing Pete Koller - guitar Arman Majidi - drums Craig Setari - bass
The story of Sick ot it All began in 1984 in New York, in the Koller parents' residence. At the time, the band consisted of the brothers Lou and Pete Koller, respectively singer and guitarist, Arman Majidi on drums and Rich Cipriano on bass. An eponymous mini album was recorded three years later on the Revelation Records label. Meanwhile, Sick of it All engulfs New York clubs such as CBGB's, retaining an ever-increasing audience. However, the real detonator is the release of the album Blood, Sweat and No Tears on the label Combat Records. The band then followed a tour of the States for which Majidi, temporarily leaving to join Rest in Pieces, was replaced by Max Capshaw. Majidi returns for the next mini album, We Stand Alone , recorded in 1991 at Relaxity Records.
After the release of Just Look Around in 1992, Craig Setari, defector of Agnostic Front, took over from Rich Cipriano. Sick of it All goes up and signs on Major Eastwest Records for the release of Scratch the Surface in 1994. The next album, entitled Build to Last, will be released on Elektra in 1997.
Washed from the big labels, Sick of it All joins the Californian Fat Wreck Chords team of more human size. On this label, the band will sign A Call to Arms (1999), Yours Truly (2000), and Life on the Ropes (2003). Recently, the band became involved in the anti-Bush movement through a song appearing on the Rock Against Bush II compilation.
