Seether
Biography
South Africa 1999: A post-grunge band named Saron Gas releases its first Fragile album mixing strength, power and emotion. The significant success generated in South Africa earned them a contract with the label Musketeer, coinciding with the release of the second album Disclaimer and a name change (in order to avoid any confusion with the Sarin Gas, a lethal gas manufactured, but never used in the Second World War by the Germans) for Seether in tribute to Veruca Salt's song of the same name. After the release of Disclaimer, Seether starts a tour in the hope of boosting sales and getting public recognition. They work during this series of concerts with Evanescence and thus resume the acoustic ballad Broken present on Disclaimer with Amy Lee. The success of this duo among the public led them to record an alternative version as well as a new song Sold Me, both of which will be present in the BO of the movie Punisher in 2004 as well as on Disclaimer II, a new version of the previous album with eight new titles, which opens the door to success in various countries: USA, United Kingdom, Australia ... In 2005, the band released its fourth studio album Karma And Effect , considered to be more heavy than the previous ones, which will be certified as a gold record in the United States and Canada. Two years later, Fin ding Beauty In Negative Spaces comes out, with the title Fake It used as the main theme for the Pay-Per-View WWE No Way Out. Seether bid with a great tour around the world during which they decide to record a new album Holding On to Strings Better Left To Fray scheduled for 2011. Current Line-up: -Sahun Morgan (Chant/Guitare) since the beginning -Dale Stewart (Bass) since 2000 -Jhon Humphrey (Batterie) since 2004 - Troy MacLawhorn (Guitare) since 2008
