Rosetta
Biography
Formed in 2003 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rosetta is the meeting of Michael Armine (Chant / Programming - Mykado ) David Grossman (Basse / Chant - Sense Fracture), James Matthew Weed (Guitare - Sundayrest) and Bruce McMurtrie Jr. (Battery - Sense Fracture, Sundayrest). This meeting takes place at a concert where the titles are completely improvised. As a result, members decided to continue recording a four-track demo, noticed by Translation Loss Records. Openly influenced by the tenors of Isis and Neurosis , Rosetta released her first album, The Galilean Satellites , in 2005 at Translation Loss Records and unveils a personal Postcore looking for the Post-Rock and the Drone. In April 2007, the band released a split called Project Mercury with Balboa and their second album, Wake/Lift , released in October 2007. After an American and Australian tour, Rosetta joined forces in 2009 with two bands with close musical universes: Year Of No Light and East Of The Wall for a split in which they played a homesick cover of The Cure. The third album, A Determinism Of Morality, was released the following year, followed by a floppy of splits for two years alongside Restorations, Junius and City Of Ships, with whom they toured Europe in 2012. In 2013, Rosetta changed her label and signed with Debemur Morti Productions for the release of The Anaesthete .
