Indianapolis, 1996, Michael Anderson and James Bauman founded Racebannon, a name from the cartoon Johnny Quest. The band completes itself with the arrival of various members of the local hardcore punk scene and moves towards a music combining the heavy rhythmic The Melvins with the vivacity of the noise punk scene. Racebannon relocates to Bloomington (Indiana) and shares its releases between Level-Plane and rock label Secretly Canadian. In 2002, Racebannon passed a course with the release of the excellent Satan's Kickin' Yr Dick In , concept album around Faust. After several years of absence, the combo returns in 2008 on Southern with Acid Or Blood . A future album, Six Sick Sisters, is already on track.
