Primitive Man

Primitive Man is a trio of Doom Metal / Blackened Sludge with Grind accents, formed by the frontman (Ethan Lee McCarthy - Guitar / Song) of another trio with close musical aspirations: Clinging To The Trees Of A Forest Fire. Joined in 2012 in Denver by Ben Kennedy (Battery) and Jonathan Campos (Basse), Primitive Man plays in a musical category that crosses several styles and released their first album, Scorn , in 2013 on the label Throatruiner Records. A split with Xaphan comes out in early 2014. The band continues to drag its gaiters into the underground, with an EP titled Home is Where the Hatred Is , released in 2015 at Relapse Records. After a splinter of splits and collaborations, notably with Sea Bastard and Northless , the band released a new album, Caustic , in 2017, still at Relapse Records.
