Pond's story begins as a huge joke, when members of Tame Impala , Nick Allbrook and Jay Watson decide to bring together friends in a project where everyone will play what they're going through. This gives a creepy first album, Psychedelic Mango, where, a little bit, we find Bruce Springsteen, Frank Zappa or David Bowie, all under ecsta. With an interchangeable line-up, Pond nevertheless took shape until a coherent structure emerged that would suddenly be released Beard, Wives, Denim in 2012, and Hobo Rocket the following year, which would lead the group to public recognition, well helped at the same time by the outbreak of Tame Impala, with which he shared 3 members at the time. Without losing his approach to psychedelic and kaleidoscopic pop garage, Pond releases Man, It Feels Like Space Again in 2015.
