Composed of former members of Achilles , Marathon and Spark Lights The Friction , the Polar Bear Club made its mark in 2006 with the release of The Redder, The Better , strongly acclaimed in the DIY/Underground environment. Compared - rightly - to such diverse formations as Hot Water Music , Texas Is The Reason , Rise Against or Small Brown Bike , the New York quintet recorded a year later Sometimes Things Just Disappear at Nada Studio with producer John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance , Brand New , Senses Fail ) which was born in March 2008 at Bridge 9.
