Parzival
Biography
Parzival is a formation from Copenhagen, Denmark, created in 1998 and inspired by the German poem by Wolfram Von Eschenbach. First known as Stiff Miners, Dimitrij Bablevskil, originally from Russia and instigator of the project, records two albums before changing name and releasing in 1999 a first album named Anathema Marantha. The influences of the group are wide, from Laibach to Richard Wagner, embracing Neo-Folk, Darkwave, Gothic and Neo-Classic and Indus/Martial. In 2002, Parzival signed with Liberte Records for Blut Un Jordan . Three releases will follow until Urheimat in 2011 which is released on the Euphonious Records label as well as Die Kulturnacht in 2012. Dimitrij then surrounded himself with Oleg Naumov (Battery / Percussions), Michael Hedelain (Battery / Percussions), Tim Ellegaard (Basse - Of The Wand And The Moon) and Jens Hansen (Claviers - Blazing Eternity) for the production of Casta which came out in 2014 which Mighty Music, developing music with oriental themes. The band played with Death In June, Sol Invictus, Rome and And Also The Trees.
