Overmars

Formed in 2002, Overmars was in its early days only the side project of Donefor (with which the group will also release a split in 2002). Donefor scuttled, Overmars became a full project in 2003. After two splits with Iscariot and Fugüe , the band released in 2005, Affliction, Endocrine... Vertigo , album of heavyness and rare quality. Evolved in a style that will be described as Post Hardcore, the group imposes its atmospheres on long tracks in which we find Doom, Sludge, Hardcore influences, referring to the groups of Neurot Recordings . Overmars proves that France is not lagging behind in terms of heavy, oppressive and unhealthy music and even more in 2007 with the release of Born Again , a record containing only one song, monolithic and cavernous. 2008 saw the appearance of two splits with Icos and Kill The Thrill where the Lyons returned to a more current format of their music.
