Oomph
Biography
When we talk about Metal Indus over-Rhin, Rammstein's name imposes with heaviness. It's almost five years before Oombh! come to life with an eponymous debut album released in 1991. Very electro and brutal beginnings in the line of Ministry, the band continues on its lance with Sperm, released 3 years later, playing the card of provocation with a rather suggestive visual, which makes them talk about! The next two albums, Defekt and Wunshkind , explore more electric, more metallic lands. Unrein released in 1998 is probably the most violent album of their discography: satanic visuals and other rejoicings are at the rendezvous. 1999 is the year of the turn: crucifixes, screams, organs and Gregorian songs are put in the closet and Oomph! unveils a brighter facet where melodies and subtleties share the poster with Plastik, which still features a duo with Nina Hagen. Ego published in 2001 pushes even further in this direction with a more advanced sound, Oomph! has come a long way in the shadow of their famous colleagues by cultivating a more organic and sincere sound. In 2004 Whareit Oder Pflicht came out, which, as always, contains unpredictable and bluffing content, followed in 2006 by Glaube LiebeTod . Oomph! returns in 2008 with Monster . his tenth album, after nearly twenty years of career.
