Omnium Gatherum

Omnium Gatherum is a Finnish band from Death Metal Mélodic founded in 1996 by guitarist Markus Vanhala, the only permanent member. Four demos appeared from 1997 to 2001 before a contract was signed with the label Rage Of Achilles for EP Steal The Light in 2002 and the first album Spirits And August Light in 2003. The band began to forge a reputation that allowed it to move to Nuclear Blast Records in 2004 with the release of Years In The Waste. After a change of singer in 2006, Stuck Here On Snakes Way appeared in 2007, this time at Candlelight Records, as did his successor The Redshift the following year, both of which appeared in the Finnish charts; At that time, the combo was made with Dark Tranquillity, Entombed, Insomnia and Nile. Omnium Gatherum then signed with Lifeforce Records for New World Shadows in 2011. It was on the same label that Beyond released in 2013 and Grey Heavens in 2016, while the eighth studio album, The Burning Cold, arrived at Century Media Records in late August 2018.
