Oiseaux Tempete

Birds-Tempest was born in 2012 when Frédéric D. Oberland and Stéphane Pigneul, also members of the Revival of the Tropics and Farewell Poetry decided to start a new band with Ben Mc Connell, drummer for Beach House, Marissa Nadler and Au Revoir Simone. The music of Birds-Tempest is characterized by a graceful Post-Rock, however, revealing the underlying power of Stoner and even Krautrock. Stéphane C, photographer, brings a predominant film side with the use of Field Recordings or excerpts from interviews made during a group trip to Greece. It is from these stylistic frictions that the wealth and uniqueness of the group come to life. Their first eponymous album was released by Sub Rosa in 2013, while remix versions appeared as Re-Works in 2014.
