Nocturnus

Nocturnus is an American band from Death Old School formed in 1987. Known for his love of keyboards and science fiction through his artworks and lyrics, the combo released the excellent The Key in 1990 under the auspices of Earache Records. Condensed with groove and synthetic sounds, this first effort sets many milestones for the following melodic Death groups. Thresholds released two years later at Earache again, and it was in 1992 that Nocturnus founder Mike Browning was driven out of his own band. He later founded After Death with other members of the original line-up. A last American album will be released in 1999 under the name Ethereal Tombs .
