Nekromantix
Biography
Nekromantix is a trio with variable geometry, musicians come and go, the only member present since the start is singer and bassist Kim Nekroman. Inspired by the pioneers of the style of The Cramps, The Meteors, but also The Misfits, the band is part of the second wave of Psychobilly in the company of Demented Are Go and Mad Sin among others. Kim, his home-made "coffinbass" and the ephemeral Jens Brygman formed Nekromantix in 1989, after a few months to shoot locally, an appearance at the Psychobilly Festival in Hamburg, then a signature at Tombstone Records, the first album Hellbound is released, and continues to develop a reputation made very quickly within the psycho community in Europe. During the 90-00s Nekromantix will release Curse of the Coffin whose video of the title song will be broadcast on MTV in the Alternative Nation program, Brought Back to Life which will be nominated for the Grammy Awards of Best Album Heavy Metal, Demons Are a Girl's Best Friend , Undead 'n' Live his first live album, Return of the Loving Dead the first opus signed by Hellcat Records (label founded by Tim Armstrong, which counts Tiger Army , Rancid , The Unseen ...). In the mid-00s Kim emigrated to the states, moved to Los Angeles and released Dead Girls Don't Cry in 2004, Life Is a Grave&I Dig It! in 2007 and What Happens in Hell, Stays in Hell his latest album in 2011.
