Mithras

Mithras formed on the ashes of Imperator in 2000 in Rugby, England. Initially the band was a quartet made up of Leon Macey (Guitare), Rayner Cross (Basse / Chant), Justin Joyce (Battery) and Steve Crompton (Guitare) and released a demo entitled Dreaming In Splendor. Mithras, however, moved very quickly to the duo Leon (Guitare / Batterie) and Rayner Coss (Basse / Chant), then joined the Gold Lake Productions label and then released Forever Advancing ..... Legions in 2002, with which the band laid the foundation for its Death Metal Progressive. The following year was the year of consecration for the band, which saw its new opus, Worlds Beyond The Veil, enjoying excellent press returns, and then a signature at Candlelight Records, which reissued both albums in 2004. However, it takes three years for the English duo to return with Behind The Shadows Lie Madness , still as experimental in the approach. Unfortunately, Rayner abandoned the project in 2008 and only returned in 2011 for the creation of the ep Time Never Lasts. Five years go by again and we learn that a new album is on track, On Strange Loops , made solo by Leon.
