Misery's story began in Minneapolis in 1987. The group will take a while to find a stable line up. Thus in the first months, two drummers took turns, while Dan held the position of bassist. The first show took place in 1988 with Al Long (Nausea) and Christy Lovegren singing, Gags on bass, Jon on guitar and Gary on drums. This concert also marks the beginnings of Profane Existence. The following summer, Misery turned to New York. Upon return, Al joins Nausea. With Sid's arrival on the guitar, the line up is now complete and will not move. The band recorded its first two seven Born Fed Slaughtered and Blindead with the help of Felix Havoc. After the release of Children of War 7 ", Misery made her first full length, Production Thru Destruction. The second was born only in 1995, with which the band embarked on a European tour alongside Extinction Of Mankind. Friendship between the two groups will result in a split.
