Milanku
Biography
Milanku was born in the fall of 2006 in Montreal, inspired by the work of the Czech author Milan Kundera, striking by its brutal character, both nostalgic and melancholy. Jean-Remi Charbonneau (Guitare), Carl Ruest (Guitare), Guillaume Chamberland (Basse / Chant) and Guillaume Boudreau-Monty (Batterie) lay the foundation for a heavy and heavy Post-Hardcore. Hubert Taschereau ( Autumn Picture ) replaces Jean-Rémi in 2007 before recording an eponymous demo, as well as their first album, Convalescence , which was released in 2008 via D7i Records. But it was especially in 2012 with several signatures on independent labels (Moments Of Collapse, Tokyo Jupiter Records, Replenish Records) and the release of Pris A La Gorge , that Milanku won on the international scene. The Quebecers even toured in Japan to promote the album. In 2015, François Lemieux (Dark Circles ) replaced Hubert and the band released a new opus recorded by Pierre Rémillard (Voivod , Les Indiens , Despised Icon ).
