Marcel Et Son Orchestre
Biography
The Marcels and his Orchestra (MESO because of youpii-hype's worries), cannot be strangers to you... So yes, their costumes are laughter and their songs are rather funny, but behind this first judgment is a group of exemplary courage and perseverance. It was in 1986 in Boulogne sur Mer (Pas de Calais) that the band formed, chose its name and performed its first concert. But it is only after 10 years of galeries and turn-over (7 changes of singer, etc....), shared between Nord-Pas de Calais and Brittany, that the band releases its first real album LP (the self-produced eponym in less). Bastardâle! is recorded and mixed in 6 days, comes out on Wagram and contains only songs that the band used to play on the road. The album did not win a great commercial success but opened many doors to them that finally allowed MESO to win on the French scene.
In 1997, the band recorded Say not without the sachant! , a 4 tracks that allowed the band to go on an inter-nation-alle tour! Because Belgium and Switzerland also fall under their charms. September 1998 sees the consecration of the band with the release of Skull not, you are bald!, an album recorded in the rules of art, with compositions, rehearsals and much more time to production. The band is launched and will soon be very successful, following albums (2001 If you dream of it, there was only a double live in 2002 honoring their hundreds of concerts) and tours. And now (at the end of 2003) in our hands weak their new creation: One for all... each my face.
The band does not stop in such a good way and chain albums, tours and take advantage of it to give us another live treat. The last one, Good Chic... good Like! , sees the day in 2009.
