Leviathan
Biography
Like many Black Metal bands, Leviathan is the project of only one man, Jef "Wrest" Whitehead, who decided in 1998 to form his band in San Francisco. His personal vision of the American wave led him to collaborate with various actors including Xasthur and Sunn O)) . Over the years, his productions also involved various influences, often external to the Metal scene, including the Dark Ambient or the Noise. In 2008 he released one of his most ambitious albums, Massive Conspiracy Against All Life , which allows him to gain a more important status internationally. This success led to a signature at Profound Lore Records and the release of True Traitor True Whore in 2011. After many disagreements with the law, Scar Sighted appeared in 2015, still at Profound Lore Records.
