Legion Of The Damned
Biography
Legion Of The Damned is a new start for Occult members after the eviction of Rachel Heyzer. Maurice Swinkels (Chant), Richard Ebisch (Guitare), Erik Fleuren (Battery) and Twan Fleuren (Basse), quickly replaced in 2007 by Harold Gielen (Nasum, Suffocation, Coldworker). In 2006, Legion Of The Damned released Malevolent Rapture, an album that should have been Occult's sixth album. Less than a year after the quartet comes out what one might consider his first real record: Sons Of The Jackal at Massacre Records. The Dutch released two releases in 2008: Feel The Blade and Cult Of The Dead, refining their Thrash Metal to Death Metal. The band then toured with Obituary , Keep Of Kalessin and Amon Amarth in 2009, made several European festivals in 2009 and 2010 and then composed Descent Into Chaos which appeared in 2011 still at Massacre Records. The group's popularity is growing. They then toured with Kataklysm , Equilibrium , Manegarm and Milking The Goatmachine in 2011 and then with Cannibal Corpse , Behemoth , Suicidal Angels and Misery Index in 2012 agreeing each summer a passage in the biggest European festivals. In 2013, Legion Of The Damned released a split with Hail Of Bullets, then a second with Kreator. Their sixth studio album, Ravenous Plague , appeared in 2014 at Napalm Records.
