Lastdaysofapril
Biography
Karl Larsson : Chant/Guitare Mathias Olden : Bass Fredrik Granberg : Battery
Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, LastDaysOfApril had, until recently, four members: Karl Larsson, Andreas Förnell (Batterie), Lars Taberman (Guitare), and Daniel Svenfors (Basse). The adventure began in the '96 with the release of their first eponymous album, published in 1000 copies. The quartet quickly emerged from the Scandinavian punk/hardcore scene, then two years later, LDOA signed with Bad Taste Records (Logh , Satanic Surfers , Danko Jones ,...), and released its first EP: The Wedding. True to the label, the Swedes will compose three records: Rainmaker, released in September of the same year; Angel Youth, in 2000, marked a turning point in the musical evolution of the band; and Ascend to the Stars confirmed their growing appeal to the independent pop scene in 2002. Attracted divided by two, since LDOA boils down to this exit at the Karl/Andreas duo. 2004 will have been rich for the Nordists since they reissue their first opus, and come out If You Lose It , always co-produced by Pelle Gunnerfeldt (The Hives , The International Noise Conspiracy ), who also lends them a hand for recording the bass parts, and Lars who finally makes his return. The following year will see the release of a solo album by Karl Larsson , Pale As Milk , thus preceding LDOA's last album, Might As Well Live , announced on March 14, 2007, and again undergoing some line-up changes. A career hailed a few weeks earlier by the release in Japan of a Tribute to LastDaysOfApril published by Evol Records ( AndMarkHer , Veltpunch ,...).
