Inquisition

Inquisition was formed in Cali, Colombia, in 1988 under the impetus of Dagon. Initially a group of Thrash Metal, named Guillotine, he abandoned it to the benefit of the one who would enter the legend the following year. Their first album, Forever Under , was released in 1993 as a self-promotion after a first EP, Anxious Death released three years earlier. After a period until 1996, during which training was not very active, things accelerated with the move of the group leader to the United States and the recruitment of Incubus to the battery. The release of Into The Infernal Regions Of The Ancient Cult on the Sylphorium Records label in 1998 marked the spirits by the quality and power of its compositions. In line with Black Metal bands, Inquisition produces several albums that are released on underground labels. Thus, Invoking The Majestic Throne of Satan (2002), Magnificent Glorification of Lucifer (2004) and especially Negorious Dismal Orations (2007) help to establish the reputation of the formation and its musical style. More and more personal, the group's evil offerings allow it to develop its own identity, knowing a mixture of brutality and melodic sounds, close to what Immortal can produce. The release in 2010 of Ominous Doctrines Of The Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm , at No Colour Records as its two predecessors, marks a turning point in the careers of the two musicians. He was unanimously praised by the critics and the public, allowing them to shoot extensively and above all to attract the attention of the Season of Mist label. It is with the latter that the group is working on the release of its seventh long format, Obscure Verses For The Multiverse , in 2013. In 2015, all the band's albums, except the first, were reissued by the French label in versions with reworked artworks while the band announced in 2016 the release of Bloodshed Across The Empyrean Altar Beyond The Celestial Zenith scheduled for the same year. With time, and with effort, Inquisition has established itself as one of the most interesting and original Black Metal formations in operation.
