Impaled Nazarene
Biography
It was in Finland in 1990 that Impaled Nazarene formed around the Luttinen family. Indeed, the group is first formed by two brothers; Mika (singer) and Kimmo (beater) supported by Mika Pääkkö and Ari Holappa on guitar and Antti Pikhala on bass. Oriented Black Metal, their music will quickly evolve towards a mix of Black/Punk. The first demo entitled Shemhamforash was recorded in 1991 with this line up but will only be distributed in 1992, the year of their first real Beherit opening concert. Shortly after, Antti left the group and was briefly replaced by Harri Halonen, who also left Ari's partner group. Imperaled Nazarene was a trio in Finland. It is at this time that they are signed by the French label Osmose Productions. Pääkö left the band and Taneli Jarva from Sentenced and Jarno Antila from Belial were then engaged first in session and finally for the recording of the first album, Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz, and EP Sadogoat. In 1993, the training recorded Ugra Karma at Tico Tico Studio in Finland with Ahti Kortelainen and graduated from Underground. Ugra Karma will later change her pocket because of the use of an image from a Hari Krishna book that complains. Mika remembered it and specially dedicated a song to them in an album by Rocking Dildos. In 1994, a first European tour followed as a guest of Ancient Rites. As soon as they returned to Finland and again in 1994, Impaled Nazarene returned to the studio to record Suomi Finland Perkele, during his release in France, a group of young communists pressured the Fnac to try to remove the album from the bins because of too extreme a text; Total War Winter War refers to a former war in Finland. In 1995 the second European tour for the promotion of the album took place. Reima Kellokoski from Belial joined the band. It was then that Kimmo Luttinen left Impaled Nazarene after bad relations with his brother Mika and left to form the Legenda group. Impaled Nazarene recorded in 1996 the album Latex Cult and the EP Motorpenis and reconnected with the brutal and effective Black/Punk. Taneli Jarva left the group and was replaced by Jani Lehtosaari of Obfuscation and Belial. The band then embarks on a long European tour with among others Cannibal Corpse, Dark Tranquility and Immolation. In 1998 Rapture , an album Mika least appreciates the production. The band toured America and played in the lead of the Montreal Metalfest following the split of Suffocation (which was to be reshaped a few years later) to ensure this position. The tour continues in Russia with Children Of Bodom. Rapture is the last recorded at Tico Tico Studio since a fight between the group members in the compound. In 1999, great evolution for Impaled Nazarene with the entry into the group of Alexi Laiho by Children of Bodom and especially a musical modification since the band now has two guitars and offers soli as well as more advanced riffs, Nihil marks a turning point in the band's history. Unfortunately or fortunately according to the opinions, Laiho cannot make all the tours because of his involvement in Children Of Bodom and the band separates from it. Another reason for his departure and purely and simply that Mika Luttinen fired him not supporting his starlet behavior, Luttinen's character being explosive one might think that he was dryly dismissed from his project of always. In 2001, Absence of War Does Not Mean Peace was released and Teemu Raimoranta, alias Somnium de Finntroll, had only one year after Teemu's death. This opus also sees the replacement of bassist Jani by Mika Arnkil of Antidote and Abhorrence. In 2003 All That You Fear came out, which marked the beginning of the decline for the Finns, the world of music was evolving and many bands were struggling to follow, Impaled Nazarene despite a high status in the milieu lost its superb and saw its popularity decline from that moment on. In 2005 it appeared the live Death Comes In 26 Carefully Selected Pieces, it was recorded at the Tavastia Club in Helsinki, Finland on 19 December 2004. Two albums will suffice in 2006 and 2007, Pro Patria Finlandia and Manifest, then Road To Octagon in 2010, and finally Vigorous And Liberating Death in 2014. Impaled Nazarene was one of the major bands of the Metal Extreme during the 1990s and early 2000, their style which is a mix of Black / Punk explosive has aroused a great deal of interest throughout the world, the group actually occurring everywhere. Very provocative they are at the center of many polemics which also explains their success but their decline, the texts revolve around topics such as satanism, nuclear, wars, sex, violence, politics, patriotism.
