Hanging Garden

Hanging Garden was formed in 2004 in Helsinki around Matti Reinola (Basse / Claviers) and Ari Nieminen (Chant), members of the local scene who wanted to start at Doom Metal. They then recruited a friend, Janne Jukarainen (Battery), to begin composing. After ending their respective bands, Mikko Kolari&Saku Manninen (Guitares) are recruited by the band and the recording of a first demo can begin. The soberly titled Promo 2006 released some time later and allowed the band to sign a deal with Spikefarm Records. Their first album, Inherit The Eden, appeared in 2007. Hanging Garden is experiencing significant line-up changes prior to Teotwawki registration. Saku and Janne left the band to be replaced by Jussi Hämäläinen and Anti Ruoka. Nino Hynninen is also recruited as second keyboardist. The album appears at the end of 2009, still at Spikefarm Records. However, Hanging Garden struggles to find stability. In 2010 and 2011 Ari, then Matti both left the ship, replaced by Toni Toivonen and Jussi Kirves. The guitarist Mikko Kolari is now the only original member of Hanging Garden. The band still finds the motivation to release a third album, At Every Door , which appeared in 2013 at Lifeforce Records, far removed from Doom / Death roots from the beginning.
