Fennesz

Christian Fennesz was born in 1962 in Austria. He became familiar with music at the age of 8-9 and created his first band Maische (ersatz by Sonic Youth Meets My Bloody Valentine) in the late 1980s. It was not until the early 1990s that he joined the Viennese techno scene and began to release albums under his own name.
A key figure of the IDM, mixing its electro sounds strongly influenced by glitch with real instruments, Fennesz has scattered his discography of many collaborations as diverse as fertile. These are: Sparklehorse , Jim O'Rourke , Oren Ambarchi , Mike Patton or Ulver (the Austrian appears on Shadows of The Sun 2007).
