Biography

Formed in 1990 by Matt Harvey, then 15 years old, and Col Jones Exhumed is a death/grind combo from the Californian scene. After a big series of Demos, Splits or EPs (only 4 records in 1992), the band released its first Gore Metal album in 1998, mixing Death and Grindcore on 13 tracks recorded in the summer of the same year and laying the foundations of Exhumed. A tour followed shortly thereafter, following the changes of musicians until the release of SlaughterCult in 2001. 4 tours after (3 in the USA and one in Europe, including dates at the Wacken Open Air or Obscene Extreme), Anatomy is Destiny gets into the bins, followed by a change of bass player. Leaving Matt Harvey the only original member, drummer Col Jones leaves the combo, while Exhumed releases a compilation of his first recordings, Platters of Splatter, chaining the dates and all-you-comes of members (departure of guitarist Mike Beams, arrival of Wes Caley at the 6-cords and drummer Matt Connell) to lead to a cover album Garbage Daze Regurgitated (with on the menu of Metallica, Amebix , Sadus , The Cure , Master , ...). Exhumed then announced an indefinite break in 2005. In 2010, Matt Harvey announced his band's return for a new album, with Lon DelMuerte (bass, singing), Wes Caley (Guitare), Danny Walker (Batterie) and Matt Harvey. All Guts, No Glory was born in August 2011, while Exhumed was already beginning to chain the dates. Necrocracy was released in 2013 at Relapse Records.
