Evergreen Terrace
Biography
Evergreen Terrace began its adventures in 1999 led by Josh James (Guitare), Andrew Carey (Chant), Josh Willis (Guitare), Josh Smith (Basse) and Christopher Brown (Batterie). The band released an eponymous debut in 2000 before Josh Willis and Josh Smith were replaced by Craig Chaney (Guitare / Chant) and Jason Southwell (Basse). The first album, Losing All Hope Is Freedom, was released in July 2001 via Indianola Records, as well as a sequel, Burned Alive By Time in 2002 at Eulogy Recordings and Alveran Records. Their mix of Emocore / Hardcore / Punk and Metalcore is known and the group is very often on the roads. They nevertheless took the time to release a split with xOne Fifthx in 2003 before returning to the studio for Writer's Block and Sincerity Is An Easy Disguise In This Business released in 2004 and 2005. The same year, a live DVD was released, Hotter! Wetter! Stickier! Funner! while Christopher Brown left the band, replaced by Kyle Mims behind the drums. For two years, Evergreen Terrace continues with trainings like As I Lay Dying, Rise Against or Hatebreed. In 2007 they signed Metal Blade Records for the release of their fifth opus, Wolfbiker , which also allows them to be present on the Warped Tour 2008. The following year it was Almost Home that came out on the same label, while bass was held by Chris Andrews, Jason taking a break with the band. Alex Varian (Basse / Chant) is recruited for the following tours with For The Fallen Dreams , Asking Alexandria , Caliban , Death Before Dishonor and As I Lay Dying at the end of 2009 and 2010. They also competed in the 2010 Persistence Tour with among others Sick Of It All, Casey Jones and Unarth, and then continued their tour in 2011 with Bury Your Dead and For The Fallen Dreams. Caleb James is the drummer on this tour. At the end of 2012, Evergreen Terrace announced Josh James' departure to focus on Stick To Your Guns. Jason Southwell returned as a bass player and Alex Varian devoted himself to rhythm guitar. In 2013, Brad Moxey was the new drummer of the band and the now quintet recorded a new album, Dead Horses , which appeared at Rise Records. In 2015, Brad was seriously injured, which prevented the band from shooting, and then in June, Andrew Carey announced his departure from Evergreen Terrace after more than fifteen years as a singer.
