Downway
Biography
'95: year of group training in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Very quickly they record a demo so they can play in a few bars before the boss of Hourglass Records, a friend of the band, offers them to release a first album they call Downway Is As Downway Goes. Follows a full year of tour with Diesel Boy in particular, then a lot of repeats before recording Kacknacker that earned them a great success in Canada but also a little bit in the United States where 206 Records released their album, as well as the next Never Be Clever Again. The 2000 American tour of Good Riddance's first tour led them to the next stage, as it was signed with Sessions Records, a label well established in Canada. A new boost from Russ Rankin (Singer of Good Riddance) this time behind the handles allows them to release a Defeat Songs consist of '01. After a new tour series and the replacement of 2 members, the Canadians released in March '03 a Split CD with their friends of always Belvedere (who also come from Calgary).
