Downfall Of Gaia

Originally from Germany, Downfall Of Gaia is a band combining Sludge, Post-Black Metal and Crust since its creation in Germany in 2008 around Dominik Foncalves Dos Reis (Guitare / Chant), Anton Lisovoj (Basse / Chant), Johannes Stoltenburg (Batterie) and Peter Wolff (Guitare). After a first demo the year of its creation, the combo starts in an ep Salvation In Darkness, as well as a split with Kazan the same year. It takes until 2010 to have Epos , first album but which announces a discography filled : A split with In The Heart Of Emperors in 2011, Suffocating In The Swarm Of Cranes (which allows them to sign at Metal Blade Records), a compilation, then Aeon Unveils The Thrones Of Decay in 2014 for which Michael Kadnar arrives behind the drums. At the end of 2015, Marco Mazzola replaced Peter and Downfall Of Gaia released his fourth album, Atrophy, in 2016. The group cites several influences such as Neurosis , Yob , Electric Wizard or Cult Of Luna .
