Don Caballero
Biography
Summer 1991, Pittsburgh (USA), Damon Che decided to form a band to produce "music he liked". Around the genius drummer, Mike Banfield (guitar) and Pat Morris (bass) add to the complexity of Che's game. Noted during a "battle" between young bands in the city, Don Caballero won a second guitarist, Ian William, signed on the Touch & Go label and went to Chicago to record their first album (For Respect ) in 1993. Two albums and a compilation of their singles later, the band labeled "math rock" loses Morris and Banfield, and decides to separate after an unconvincing album with Eric Emm on bass (American Don, 2000). However, Che felt that Don Caballero's time had not yet rang and reformed the band in 2001 by integrating the trio Creta Bourzia (also from Pittsburgh). The fusional association gives birth to the album very rock World Class Listening Problem (2006).
