Disappears
Biography
From Chicago, where the quartet was formed somewhere in the mid-2000s, Disappears drew its raw blend that trains it on the borders of Krautrock, 90's rock and psychedelic rock. A mixture that sees the combo share, in less than two years, the poster of the mastodones that are Tortoise , Deerhunter , Times New Viking or The Jesus Lizard with which they shared the same heteroclite stable, the late label Touch and Go. It was finally at Kranky that Disappears released his first album, Lux , in 2010 and his successor Guider , the following year. Following the departure of his drummer, the band recruits Steve Shelley, now free of his movements outside Sonic Youth, first for a tour, then officially in studio during the recording sessions of Pre Language. A way to realize the admiration you feel point in each of the riffs for the ex-Thurston Moore band.
