Darkenhöld
Biography
Darkenhöld is a medieval Black Metal band founded in Nice in 2008 by Aldébaran (Guitare, Claviers, Basse - Artefact , Continuum ), Aboth (Battery, Claviers - Spheric Universe Experience , Continuum ) and Cervantes (Chant). Aldébaran wishes to return to a sleek Black Metal and is inspired by ancient legends, fantastic and epic atmospheres and accompanies his compositions of a medieval universe where caves, castles and haunted forests form part of the themes discussed that recall Scandinavian groups like Emperor, Satyricon or Bathory. Darkenhöld recorded two splits in 2009 alongside Fhoi Myore and Naastrand including covers of Ancient, Abigor, Wallachia and Mephistopheles and participated in Old Crown, New Spawn with a cover of Ancient Queen by Emperor. But the band began to talk about them with their first album A Passage To The Towers... which appeared at Ancestrale Production in 2010. Darkenhöld toured France and Switzerland the following year before returning with a second album, Echoes From The Stone Keeper , in 2012 via Those Opposed Records. A French tour took place with Angmar and Fhoi Myore in 2013. Aleevok (Basse), Antho (Guitare) and Franck (Claviers) join the trio for live performances.
