Danse Macabre
Biography
A pictorial genre, usually represented as a fresco, Macabre Dance was born in the 15th century in a Europe ravaged by wars and epidemics. At the heart of these decades, omnipresence and the predominance of death will radically change the hierarchical orders that refer all humanity to its mortal condition, where all are equal.
Based in the heart of the little town of Trier (Rhineland-Palatinate), inspired by this medieval philosophical darkness, brought to light through committed texts, the 5 members of Danse Macabre will quickly develop a chaotic screamo in the vein of Orchid and other Ampere. 2003 saw the band's first split with Killed By Malaise , allowing them to sign at React With Protest (Comadre , Raein ), a label with which they continued on an participation in the Emo Armageddon compilation in 2005 (on which Louise Cyphre , Zann , June Paik , La Quiete etc.) and then an album the same year: Synkopenleben , Nein Danke . He followed a beautiful European tour and at the end a new split, this time with the Belgians of Am I Dead Yet in 2006.
